Private Label Bags: White Label and OEM Programs From One Factory

Three routes lead to a bag with your name on it, and they differ in who owns the design, not in who makes it. This page separates private label, white label and OEM, states exactly which brand assets we hold for you alone: patterns, BOM, screens, moulds and the sealed golden sample: and sets out the catalogue-to-brand route that starts from the 100+ new models we develop every month. MOQ 300 pcs on every route.

Private Label vs White Label vs OEM Bags: What Actually Differs

The terms are used loosely in sourcing. Here is how we use them, what each one costs in sample time, and who ends up holding the pattern at the end of it.

Private Label

You start from one of our developed models and change structure, fabric, colour, hardware and branding until it is your product. The modified pattern is created for you and held under your project code. Sample 5–7 working days.
Sample 5–7 days · Pattern held for you

White Label

Existing showroom samples are free, with courier paid by the buyer. Custom prototypes take 5–7 working days after the specification is confirmed. We quote the prototype fee, courier charge and any sample-fee credit before work starts.
No new pattern · Fastest route

OEM From Your Tech Pack

You send a dimensioned drawing, BOM with denier and GSM, hardware list and packing spec. We build to it exactly. Sample 7–10 working days because the first pattern is cut from your drawing rather than adapted.
Sample 7–10 days · Your design

ODM From Our Development

We propose the structure and you brand it. 10+ in-house designers and 100+ new models a month mean a range can be assembled from existing development in days rather than months. Sample 5–7 days.
100+ models a month

Same MOQ on Every Route

300 pieces whether the pattern is yours, ours or modified. The minimum comes from cutting lays and 50–100 m fabric rolls, not from the commercial arrangement.

Brand assets

Private Label Bag Supplier: Which Brand Assets We Hold for You

A private label program only works if the physical things that define your product stay yours. Five asset classes are created during development, and each is stored under your project code and not offered to another buyer.

Patterns and graded pieces

The cut pattern for every panel, plus any grading between sizes. Repeat-order timing is confirmed against the approved sample, any specification changes and current material and production availability.

BOM with denier, GSM and supplier lot

Fabric denier and GSM, coating, lining, webbing width, zipper brand and size, foam density and thread. Written once, referenced at every later order, and checked roll by roll at incoming inspection.

Screens, embroidery tapes and moulds

Screens for 1–6 colour print, digitised embroidery tapes, and any moulded PU, silicone or zinc-alloy badge tooling, which takes 7–15 days to cut. Held under your code and not run for another buyer. See logo & branding.

The sealed golden sample

One approved physical bag per style, held to ±1 cm on dimensions and ±3 mm on logo position, kept at the factory as the reference for every later inspection. See golden sample.

Packaging artwork and label files

Hangtag, woven label, polybag print, carton mark and barcode artwork, stored with the packing spec so a repeat order does not need the artwork re-supplied. See packaging & retail prep.

An NDA signed before sampling

On request we sign your NDA before any development starts, covering the brief, drawings, artwork and the finished product. Nothing you send is shown to another buyer, and your bags are not photographed for our own catalogue without permission.
Want the NDA signed before you send anything? Say so in the first email and it comes back the same working day.

Catalogue to brand

White Label Bag Manufacturer Route: Catalogue to Branded Range

The fastest way to a branded range is to start from development that already exists. We add 100+ new models a month, so a 3–8 SKU line can be assembled from proven structures and then modified into your own patterns.
Day 0

Shortlist from the catalogue

Pick 3–8 base models by capacity in litres and construction. Category pages such as gym & training bags list 6–8 sub-types each with specs.
Day 1–3

Stock samples in hand

Existing showroom samples are free, with courier paid by the buyer. Custom prototypes take 5–7 working days after the specification is confirmed. We quote the prototype fee, courier charge and any sample-fee credit before work starts.
Day 3–5

Modification brief

Which panels, pockets, dimensions, fabrics and hardware change. This is the step that converts a white label pick into a private label product with its own pattern.
Day 5–12

Program risks

Private Label Bags: Program Risks and How the Factory Controls Them

Six things that undermine a private label program, and the control that removes each. Most of them are about custody and documentation rather than about sewing.
Our design turns up on a marketplace under another name
Cause: a modified pattern treated as factory property. Control: patterns, BOM, screens, tapes and moulds are filed under your project code, reserved for you and not offered to other buyers, with an NDA signed before sampling on request.
The second order does not match the first
Cause: no stored physical reference. Control: the sealed golden sample stays at the factory and every later run is compared against it at ±1 cm on dimensions and ±3 mm on logo position. See golden sample.
Labels and hangtags arrive after the bags are packed
Cause: branding sourced separately from the product. Control: woven labels, hangtags, polybag print and carton marks are quoted and scheduled inside the same order, and checked at packing inspection.
Nobody can say who owns the badge mould
Cause: tooling paid for but never assigned. Control: moulds cut for your program (7–15 days depending on type) are filed under your project code and are not run for another buyer. See trims & hardware.
Spec drifts as SKUs are added over three seasons
Cause: each SKU documented on its own. Control: one BOM standard per program covering fabric, zipper brand, webbing width and label system, applied to every new SKU that joins the range.
Two factories give two different products under one brand
Cause: splitting a range across suppliers to chase price. Control: 8 product categories from cutting to packing on one 5,000 m² floor, so one BOM standard and one QC standard cover the whole range. See factory vs trading company.

Private Label Bag Programs for Brands, Sellers, Retailers and Clubs

Private label is a commercial arrangement rather than a buyer type, so most programs also sit in one of these. Each page covers the order sizes and scheduling for that buyer.

FAQ

Private Label Bags: Frequently Asked Questions

White label means you take a stock model unchanged and add your label, hangtag and packaging: no new pattern, so the base model stays available to other buyers. Private label means we modify structure, fabric, hardware or dimensions for you, creating a pattern held under your project code. Both carry the same 300 pc minimum. The route guide compares them in full.
Yes, on request and usually the same working day. It covers the brief, drawings, artwork and the finished product. Files, patterns, screens, embroidery tapes and moulds are stored under your project code and are not offered to other buyers, and we do not photograph your bags for our own catalogue without permission.
They are created for your program, filed under your project code and not run for another buyer. Moulds take 7–15 days to cut depending on whether they are PU, silicone or zinc-alloy, and that tooling time is quoted separately from the bag. See trims and hardware.
That is the most common route. Test a market with a stock model plus your label, then modify the structure on the second order while keeping the same fabric booking and label system. Repeat-order timing is confirmed against the approved sample, any specification changes and current material and production availability.
Yes, inside the same order: woven labels, hangtags, printed polybags, retail boxes, carton marks and barcodes, all checked against the packing spec at packing inspection. Keeping packaging on the same purchase order is what stops labels arriving after the bags. See packaging and retail prep.
Shortlist and free stock samples in the first week, a modification brief by about day five, private label samples at 5–7 working days each, then 25–40 days production after approval plus 25–45 days sea or 5–10 days air. An OEM route from your own tech pack adds a few days at the sample stage, at 7–10 days.
No. 300 pieces applies to white label, private label and OEM alike, because the number is set by cutting lays and 50–100 m fabric rolls. A 5-SKU range in one colourway is therefore 1,500 pcs. See the MOQ guide.
Yes. All eight categories run on the same floor, so a range can mix a gym duffel, a yoga mat bag and a toiletry pouch under one BOM standard, one label system and one inspection standard rather than three suppliers.
