Shoes and laptop share air

A shoe zone that is only a fabric divider away from the laptop sleeve transfers moisture and smell. We build the shoe compartment as a separate lined cell with its own zip and ventilation, physically isolated from the main body, and put the wet pouch on the opposite side.

The laptop is not actually protected

A sleeve that touches the base of the bag lets the laptop take every impact. We suspend the padded sleeve 3–5 cm above the base with a false floor, and size it to a stated device: a 16″ sleeve holds a 14″ laptop badly, and the reverse does not hold at all.
