Dry Bag Specifications

A dry bag is specified by tarpaulin gauge, seam method and closure. Capacity is the least important number; a 10 L bag with a stitched seam is not a dry bag at any price.

Dry Bag Variants We Build

Four builds on one welded principle. The gauge and the closure change with the use case; the seam method does not, because a stitched seam leaks through the needle holes.

Lightweight TPU dry bag

5–15 L, 0.3 mm TPU-coated nylon, 150–250 g, D-ring carry. Sold in graded sizes of 5, 10 and 15 L as a set. The travel and swim-kit SKU.
Low–mid · 0.3 mm TPU

Heavy PVC dry bag

20–30 L, 0.5 mm PVC tarpaulin at 500–600 GSM, welded base band, detachable 38 mm strap. The paddle, boat and beach-retail build.

Dry bag with window

10–20 L body with a welded clear TPU window panel and a valve for air purge. Outdoor and camping brands buy this for the visible-contents claim.

The failure mode is binary: the bag holds water out or it does not. Three construction decisions settle it, and none of them can be fixed after cutting.

The roll-top opens under pressure

A roll-top with fewer than 3 rolls or a soft top edge unrolls when the bag is squeezed or submerged. We weld a 20–25 mm stiffener strip into the top edge, specify 3 rolls minimum on the packaging and size the buckle at 25–38 mm so the closure stays clipped under 5–8 kg of load.

The claim on the packaging is wrong

A roll-top dry bag keeps rain and splash out and floats when sealed; it is not a submersible pouch and we will not describe it as one. We leak-check every prototype, tell you what the construction supports and put the wording in the tech pack. Third-party testing by SGS, BV or TUV is welcome, commissioned and paid by the buyer.

Custom Dry Bags: Frequently Asked Questions

The body is, because it is welded rather than stitched. A roll-top with 3 rolls keeps rain, splash and a brief dunk out and floats when sealed; it is not a submersible pouch and we say so in the tech pack. For a submersible phone pouch see waterproof pouches.
From 300 pieces. A 10 L 0.3 mm TPU dry bag with a one-colour print sits at the low end; graded sets are counted per set. See the MOQ guide.
0.3–0.4 mm TPU-coated nylon is lighter, softer and welds cleanly; 0.5 mm PVC tarpaulin is stiffer and cheaper. Some markets restrict PVC, so tell us the destination country at quote stage. The material guide compares them.
Yes, by screen print or heat transfer on the tarpaulin, or a moulded patch welded to the body. Embroidery would puncture the seal, so it is not offered on the body. See logo & branding.
We leak-check every prototype and every production lot reviewed for your project. Third-party testing or inspection by SGS, BV or TUV is welcome on any order, commissioned and paid by the buyer; see third-party inspection support.
