250–350 g/m² card, 5 × 9 cm or 6 × 10 cm, 1–4 colour print, matte or soft-touch lamination, string or plastic tag pin. Barcode, care icons and a QR code print at 300 DPI. From 500 pcs on custom shapes; stock shapes from 300.

Inserts & Shape Retainers

Tissue paper, PE bag with cardboard shaper, or a 2–3 mm corrugated insert that keeps a 30–55 L weekender square in a retail box. Adds 30–60 s per unit and 5–10% carton volume; used where the bag is displayed unfolded.

Retail Boxes

350 g/m² folding carton or E-flute corrugated, CMYK print with matte lamination, tuck-end or drawer style. Typical duffel box 45 × 28 × 12 cm folded. Printed boxes add 7–10 days, run in parallel with sewing; usually from 500 pcs. Standard for retail programs.

Dust Bags & Retail Pouches

Custom Bag Packaging Process: From Packing Spec Sheet to Palletised Cartons

Six steps between your packaging brief and cartons on the truck. Printed components run in parallel with sewing, so packaging adds days only when a retail box is approved late.
Day 0

Packaging brief

Marketplace or retailer prep guide, artwork for hangtags and boxes, barcode files, carton mark text and pallet preference. The RFQ checklist lists the packaging fields.
Day 1–2

Packing spec sheet

One page: fold method, polybag size, tag position, label position in cm, units per carton, carton size and gross weight, marks and pallet pattern. Priced per unit and per carton.
Day 2–7

Packaging sample

The bag sample ships packed as production will pack it: polybag, hangtag, insert and a printed box mock-up or digital proof. Retail box artwork is proofed as a flat dieline PDF.

Sign-off and print order

Custom samples take 5–7 working days after the specification is confirmed. Bulk production and repeat-order schedules are confirmed in your quotation, based on the construction, materials, quantity and production availability. One free revision on artwork.

Custom Bag Packaging Carton Marks, Carton Specs and Pallet Options

What goes on the outside of the carton and how cartons are stacked. All four items are fixed on the packing spec sheet before bulk.

Shipping Marks

Brand or PO reference, style code, colour, quantity, carton number x of y, gross and net weight in kg, dimensions in cm, country of origin, on two adjacent sides in 20–30 mm type. Custom marks free of charge.

Common problems

Custom Bag Packaging Problems and How the Factory Prevents Them

Six packaging failures that cause chargebacks, inbound rejections or shelf returns, and the control that removes each one.
Carton rejected at the FBA inbound dock

FNSKU does not scan
Cause: low-resolution label or label over a seam of the polybag. Control: labels printed at 300 DPI on a flat panel of the bag and scan-tested 100% at packing inspection.
Bag arrives creased in the retail box
Cause: folded too tight for a 1680D or PU bag. Control: fold method fixed on the packed sample; corrugated insert or tissue specified for PU work-gym backpacks and boxed weekenders.
Set pieces separated in the warehouse
Cause: three polybags, no set marking. Control: one outer polybag per set with a “sold as set” sticker and a single FNSKU; standard on accessory sets.
Printed boxes arrive after the bags are sewn
Cause: box artwork approved late. Control: dieline proof sent with the packed sample; print order released at approval so the 7–10 day box window ends before packing starts.
Carton marks do not match the packing list
Cause: marks typed by hand at the line. Control: marks generated from the packing spec sheet and checked carton by carton; packing list, photos and count sent before pickup through project communication.
