A toiletry pouch is a small structured box with a lining that has to survive shampoo. Lining film, pocket count and the hook are the three lines that separate a gym wash kit from a generic cosmetic bag.

Set toiletry pouch

Boxed 3 L body in the duffel fabric, PEVA lining, 2 pockets, folding hook. The 4th piece in a travel-gym set; priced to bundle.

Hanging flat-open pouch

3-sided zip opens the pouch flat with 3–4 pockets and a 60 mm hook; hangs from a locker or shower rail. The gym-travel retail SKU.

PU wash pouch

Where Toiletry Pouches Fail: and What We Do About It

Shampoo, a hook and a zip. A toiletry pouch fails when the lining absorbs the first leak, the hook pulls out, or the zip catches the lining film. Three spec lines, all set at sample stage.

The lining soaks up the first leak

A woven polyester lining without a coating holds shampoo in the fibres and smells within 2 weeks. We line every toiletry pouch with 0.10–0.2 mm PEVA or TPU film, or with 210D polyester that carries a PU coating on the inside face, and seal the base corners so a 30 ml leak can be wiped out rather than washed out.

The hook tears out of the lid

A 40–60 mm hook on a 1–1.5 kg loaded pouch takes the full weight at one anchor. We mount the hook through a reinforced 3–4 cm tab that is stitched into the lid seam, bar-tack the anchor, and hang-test 5 prototypes at 2 kg for 24 hours before the golden sample is sealed.

The zip catches the lining film

A film lining cut to the same size as the shell bunches at the zip and jams the slider within a week. We cut the lining 3–5 mm smaller than the shell, bind the zip edge with a 10 mm tape, and use a #5 zip with 2 sliders so the opening runs the full width without pinching.
