Same 22–24 L zip-top shape, four material and pocket combinations. The variant sets whether the bag is sewn on PU or nylon lines and how many internal fittings are added.

Where Work Gym Totes Fail: and What We Do About It

A tote carries its full 3–5 kg load on two handle anchors and one zip. Those are where this bag type fails, and where we spend the sample time.

The handle anchors pull through

A laptop, shoes and a 750 ml bottle put 3–5 kg on four stitch points every time the tote is lifted. We anchor the 25 mm handles through a reinforced 4–6 cm tab, bar-tack each anchor and run the handle webbing under the base on nylon builds so the load sits on the bag, not on the stitching.

The bottle leaks onto the laptop

A bottle pocket sewn beside the laptop sleeve drains straight into it. We place the 70–80 mm bottle pocket at the opposite end wall, line it with a wipe-clean PU or TPU film and stitch the sleeve to the back wall 2–3 cm above the base so any drip runs past the device.

PU corners scuff white in 8 weeks

PU that is cut and left raw whitens at the four base corners within 2 months of daily commuting. We specify edge paint or a bound edge on every 0.8–1.2 mm PU tote, add a 600D or PU base panel and set 4 metal feet on premium tiers so the corners never touch the floor.

Yes, with a 5 mm foam sleeve stitched to the back wall and a body at least 36 cm tall. Below 22 L the device dominates the bag, so we usually recommend 22–24 L for 15.6″ and 16″ devices.
It is a detachable 34–38 × 20 cm pouch in the same shell fabric, clipped to an internal D-ring, so it can be sold in the bag or as a separate SKU. Retail-finish shoe bags for sets are on the shoe bags page.
