Zip-top canvas gym tote

12–16 oz canvas, #5 zip top, bottle sleeve, removable pouch. The highest-selling shape in studio retail and the natural pair for yoga totes.

Where Gym Tote Bags Fail: and What We Do About It

Totes fail at the rim and at the opening. Neither failure shows on a product photo; both are decided by how the handles are routed and how the top is closed.

The handle anchor tears the rim

A 25 L tote loaded with a 750 ml bottle and shoes carries 4–6 kg on four handle anchors. Handles sewn only to the top 5 cm of the shell pull the rim within a season. We route the webbing down the body and under the base as a continuous loop, bar-tack at the rim and pull-test the prototype to 15 kg per handle.

The open top spills on the floor

An open-top tote dropped on a gym floor loses its contents. We fit an internal 20 × 15 cm zip pocket for phone and keys, offer a magnetic snap or a #5 zip top, and hold the bottle upright in an elastic-bound sleeve so it does not tip the bag when set down.

Embroidery size, stitch density, backing and fabric weight need to be tested together. We review the logo on the chosen fabric during sampling and adjust it before bulk production.
