Custom Dust Bag Specifications

A dust bag is specified by three numbers: the folded size of the product it protects, the fabric weight, and the print colour count. Get the first one wrong and the bag it protects does not fit; get the second wrong and it reads as packaging rather than product.

5–8 cm larger than the folded product on each side; 30 × 40 cm for pouches and belt bags, 40 × 50 cm for totes, 50 × 60 cm for duffels

Custom Dust Bag Variants We Build

Three fabric tiers and one retail-pouch build. The fabric decides the read on unboxing and the tier from lowest to low; the size is always set by the product the bag ships around.

Cotton dust bag

120–180 GSM natural or dyed cotton, double drawstring, 1–2 colour print at 60–120 mm. Ships inside work-gym totes, mini gym bags and PU crossbodies.

Where Dust Bags Fail: and What We Do About It

A dust bag is the cheapest piece in the box and the first thing the customer touches. It fails when it does not fit, when the print rubs onto the product, and when the fabric reads as packaging.

The bag it protects does not fit

A dust bag ordered from a size chart rather than from the product ends up 2–3 cm too small for a structured 12 L mini duffel. We size every dust bag from the folded or packed dimensions of the actual product plus 5–8 cm per side, and test-fit the prototype around the golden sample of the main bag.

The print transfers onto a PU bag

A screen print packed against 0.8–1.2 mm PU for 4–6 weeks in a container can leave a ghost of the logo on the bag. We cure prints for 24 hours, print on the outside face only, and on PU and leather-effect products move the logo to a woven hem label or switch to satin with no direct print.

It reads as packaging, not product

A 70 GSM non-woven bag with heat-sealed edges is packaging; customers throw it away. A 150 GSM cotton bag with French seams and a double cord is a product they keep. We recommend cotton at 120–180 GSM for any retail tier and hold non-woven to e-commerce transit protection.

We confirm the production schedule after reviewing the specification, material availability and target quantity. Allow separate time for sample approval and freight. A stand-alone dust bag order runs at the early end of that range.
Existing showroom samples are free, with courier paid by the buyer. Custom prototypes take 5–7 working days after the specification is confirmed. We quote the prototype fee, courier charge and any sample-fee credit before work starts. free sample.
