Hydration Waist Pack Specifications

Bottle count, bottle size and holster angle come first; the belt width follows from the loaded weight. A pack for two 500 ml bottles carries 1 kg of water, which is why the belt is wider than on a running waist pack.

Bottle count decides the build. One holster is a running pack with a bottle; two holsters is a trail pack with a load-bearing belt and different pattern.

Single-bottle hydration belt

One 500–600 ml angled holster on a 50 mm belt, front phone pocket, 1–2 L total. The road-running retail SKU; bridges from running waist packs.
Mid · 1 holster

Twin-bottle trail pack

Two 250–500 ml holsters at 20–30°, 60–70 mm belt with dual adjusters, 3–4 L of pockets and a spacer-mesh back. The trail and long-run shape.
Mid–high · 2 holsters

Soft-flask stretch belt

Continuous stretch band with 2–3 elastic sleeves for 250–500 ml soft flasks, no hard holsters, no buckle. Lightest at 120–150 g and the softest against the hip.

Where Hydration Waist Packs Fail: and What We Do About It

Bottles bounce out, belts twist and mesh abrades. All three are pattern and material choices that are fixed on the prototype, not on the production line.

The bottle bounces out on descents

A vertical holster with a loose elastic mouth lets a 500 ml bottle lift 2–3 cm on every downhill stride. We angle the holster 15–30°, cut it to the stated bottle diameter with 4–6 mm of elastic tension at the mouth and add a cord-lock cinch or a stretch cap on the twin-bottle build. The prototype is run with full bottles before sign-off.

The belt twists under 1 kg of water

Two full bottles pull a single-layer elastic belt into a twist within 5 km. We build the belt as a 2-layer elastic-and-webbing laminate of 60–70 mm, add dual side adjusters so the load centres, and bar-tack the holster anchors through both layers.

Custom Hydration Waist Packs: Frequently Asked Questions

From 300 pieces. A single-holster 210D pack with heat-transfer branding sits at the low end. See the MOQ guide.
We make the carry, not the bottle. Send the bottle you plan to bundle, or its diameter and height, and we pattern the holster to it. If you need us to source a 500 ml flask alongside, it runs as a separate line in parallel.
Holster angle of 15–30°, a mouth cut to the bottle diameter with 4–6 mm of elastic tension, and a cord-lock cinch or stretch cap on the twin-bottle build. The prototype is run with full bottles; see sample development.
One holster for road running up to about 90 minutes; two 250–500 ml holsters for trail and long runs. Two holsters change the belt to a 60–70 mm laminate and add roughly 6–8 sewing operations per unit.
100–200 GSM spacer mesh at 3–5 mm. Below 100 GSM the lumbar contact point abrades in a season. The material guide covers mesh weights.
